Bryan Dallolio tells Roger Batt that what Ada County would really like to see is for the Russian Knapweed plant to be identified early enough and have it be controlled by the landowner in whatever fashion they choose, whether it is a mechanical or chemical method. He further states that it does not really matter how you control these weeds as long as you get to them before you end up in a situation where there is nothing here but this weed and the problem is as big as what we have here. Roger agrees and states that what they want to prevent is what is visible here from spreading over into other areas such as a pasture that he points to.
Bryan points to horses in the pasture in the background and states that Russian Knapweed represents a real danger to them. This weed can cause "Chewing Disease" which interferes with their muscular movement and makes it impossible for them to eat. Consequently, they can starve to death.
